About me

Hi, I’m Tanya Lee, the owner of Kid to Kid Bel Air! I grew up liking the resale concept – it’s the thrill of the hunt and finding a treasure or getting a great deal that really appeals to me! I’m a single mom of two and I just fell in love with the Kid to Kid model of recycling the toys and clothing my kids had outgrown in a way that was easy, convenient and allowed me to make money.

In fact, I liked the Kid to Kid business model so much that I decided to open a Kid to Kid store in Bel Air on October 13, 2011! The whole concept of Kid to Kid is different. You can trade up, get rid of old things, buy new things; it’s perfect for families with growing children. When you go into a regular children’s store to shop versus what and how we sell at Kid to Kid, you can really see what you’re saving by going to Kid to Kid, and I just love that!

As a single mom and a business woman I think about what children would like and I also want to make sure that we have clean and safe products, that your kids can use and enjoy. We know how difficult it can be to raise children. Whether you’re selling to us or buying from us, we save you time and money, and help you recycle children’s clothing, toys, equipment so other children and families can take advantage of them.

What makes Kid to Kid Bel Air special?

I’m often asked what makes Kid to Kid Bel Air special? It’s vitality! We’re a busy store with lots of parents, grandparents, and family members coming in and out all the time. We’re the second largest children’s clothing, toys, equipment, and maternity store in Harford County and our hardworking staff does their best to greet every customer with a smile and assist them in every way possible.

Kid to Kid Bel Air feels more like a new item boutique than it does a consignment store. Our products must meet our strict quality standards before we sell them to the public. We check for equipment recalls on all of our equipment. We work to ensure all parts are included with any item we sell, and we always make sure that our items are clean and in great condition before they go on our shelves. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality clean and gently-used products at a fair price to families in Harford County and Central Maryland.

Our employees are also parents,  grandparents,  and college students. We are flexible and understand that everyone has a life outside work.  We are hard working and love our regular customers and meeting new ones. Our employees treat the customers like family when they come in. They notice how they have grown, what has been going on in their life and know what kind of clothes and toys they are interested in. We have celebrations for employees and sometimes we all get treated to pizza or Sweet Frog.
